Leiper's Fork Single Barrel Cask Strength Bourbon Kitsap and Tap Selection
Aged 8yr and 7mo and bottled at 120.2p. A mash bill of 70% Corn/15% Wheat/15% Malted Barley and barreled at 110p in a level 4 char barrel.
This barrel represents the true beginning of The Kitsap and Tap Barrel Club. It was selected in Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee by myself and Nathan Tapscott along with our great friends Ray, Robert, and Hunter. Tap and I remain steadfast in our dedication to traveling for barrel selections and only selecting whiskey we deem as "Damn Good". The change is that now we can ship to 49 states through BondedBottleshop and we are seeking to grow our club with whiskey enthusiasts from across the country. If you have a friend who enjoys exploring new whiskey styles and flavor profiles, please invite them!
We couldn’t be kicking the club off with a better barrel! This Tennessee bourbon (not charcoal filtered) exudes notes similar to the very best of Kentucky. It is also a flavor profile of bourbon that we haven’t explored yet but happens to be one of my favorites. Barrel 157 is based in sweet candy bar notes of nougat, caramel, and nuttiness with beautiful spice, and sweet grain notes to balance out the profile. After getting some air there are dried fruits that emerge with golden raisin being the most prominent. This punches way above its price and also comes with beautiful bottle that will impress you when you get it in your hands. We hope you enjoy it with family and friends during these cold winter months. Thank you again for being a part of the club, we appreciate your support!
